Students win Gold, Bronze in State Competition

WinnersJasmine Robinson, a junior at Center Point High School, won the gold medal in Internetworking, and Shaunbria Grissom, a CPHS senior, won bronze in Information Technology at the Alabama SkillsUSA Conference/Competition April 18-20 held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center. 
 
As a gold medal winner, Jasmine will now be representing the CPHS IT program, along with sophomore teammate Kori Harris, at the national SkillsUSA Conference/Competition in Louisville, KY in June.
 
All three students are active members of the Center Point Computer Club and have achieved PC Pro certification (an industry-based credential measuring IT skills.)  Jasmine also achieved CompTia IT Fundamentals certification. Both winners achieved Network Pro certification in May.
